2 mile warm up with strides before the race.  I got off to a pretty good start in the race and was feeling good for the first loop, as the second loop began I started to lose contact with Spruce and by the third loop I had no hope of catching back up with him.  I need to work on my mental focus of staying up with people, i know i have the strength to gut it out and keep up with people, but today i just didnt and it caused me a much slower time than i know i am capable of.  I think if i could do this race over again i could drop over a minute from my time.

 

PM - i ran 2 light miles tonight to finish off my weekly mileage.

tri meet murray.  20:57?  i think that was my time.  I had REALLY tired legs and my calf was hurting a lot for most of the race, especially downhills.

Not as well as i would of liked to do, but it was an improvement over wednesday.  My legs felt a lot better, but for the first 2 miles of the race it was really hard to even find an opening to get past groups and i didnt get a fast enough start.  This meet was a good learning experience for upcoming big meets.
